For those who don't know the situation...

Michel Therrien used to work for the french station RDS after he got fired from Pittsburgh. He made it clear during that time that PK Subban wasn't the kind of player he wasn't fond of. He really did not like PK's attitude, and he didn't think he was a good fit in the long term.

Then he got hired as the new coach of the Canadiens. I can't see him changing his idea overnight. He probably still has issues with PK, even though I guess he must have matured a bit, but you can still see PK has attitude problems.

PK probably doesn't want out, and Canadiens probably don't want to get rid of him either, but the fit isn't good with Therrien-PK.

It's insane when you think there's at least 10 other Defenceman out there that are better than he is, IMO. He's a great player, but 9 Mil per? Wow.

Nothing to do with MT and everything to do with Subban's personality and ego, IMO let it go to arbitration and we'll buy another year before committing to a long term big dollar amount.

Are you insinuating that PK isn't worth the $/term because of his "1 season with at least 40 pts"? I would suggest that you don't watch PK play much as he will be worth everything he gets. If Phanuef is worth 7 million (to the leafs and oilers) then Subban would be worth 11 million (to the leafs and oilers).

Who would want a guy like subban in their locker room? Huge ego gets noticeably angry at his own teammates when they don't give him the puck and I think we all remember the game where he was female doging at pacioretty during the game

Yeah but that won't be the case for the years to come unless he gets traded. Montreal doesn't have any veteran who can step up and tell him to shut up, thus the problem in naming the next captain of the team. There's only a handful of teams I could see him tone down because veterans would shut him up. Boston, Detroit, NYR, Nashville, Minnesota, Arizona, SJS, Ducks, LA.
